Following days of teases, filmmaker Zack Snyder has revealed what all his cryptic social media postings on Vero have been about – an event called SnyderCon.
Taking place in Los Angeles, it begins on Friday April 28th with a “Man of Steel” screening and post-film Q&A panel with Snyder at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
That’s followed by a “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” screening and fan signing at the same location on Saturday, April 29th.
Finally, “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” will host a full-color IMAX screening and post-film Q&A panel at Universal City Walk on Sunday, April 30th.
In an interview with The Nerd Queens to discuss details and reasons for the event, Snyder says:
“Because the IMAX version of Justice League, we have screened it a couple of times in the black-and-white version [Zack Snyder’s Justice League: Justice Is Gray Edition]. I just wasn’t sure there was going to be another time when we could get the color version into the theater.
Single-day tickets are expected to go on sale Friday, March 24th with pricing and more details to follow. The event will raise funds for a heroic cause: the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Autumn Snyder Tribute Fund.
For those not in the area who can’t make it, Snyder adds they are trying to make the Q&A Panels available so you can watch the panels live from home and watch live director’s commentary synced with the movies: “I want, as much as I can, have people online be able to experience it in some of the same ways.”
