The Flash
Despite reports to the contrary, characters from “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” will apparently NOT be appearing in the upcoming ninth season of “The Flash”.
Showrunner Eric Wallace revealed in an interview that he did try to have one or two episodes that would serve as a proper finale for the ‘Legends’ gang, but with the final season scoring a shortened season they ran out of time. [Source: Nerds of Color]
The Mandalorian
In celebration of the success of “The Mandalorian,” Disney+ has announced that the series will make its broadcast television debut.
A special linear airing of the first episode of the show’s first season on Friday, February 24th simulcast across ABC, Freeform and FX. The one-off comes ahead of the premiere of the highly anticipated third season of the series on March 1st. [Source: Disney]
Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies
Paramount+ has released the full trailer for its coming-of-age musical series “Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies” which serves as a prequel to 1978’s classic film.
The series, written and executive produced by Annabel Oakes (“Atypical”), will launch on April 6th. The story follows four teenage girls who are sick and tired of being outcasts.
As a result of this, they decide to band together to form Rydell High’s coolest girl gang – The Pink Ladies. Marisa Davila, Cheyenne Isabel Wells, Ari Notartomaso and Tricia Fukuhara star.
GLOW
Netflix’s acclaimed 1980s female wrestler dramedy “GLOW” was cancelled before its time. The series had just done a few weeks of production before the pandemic shut them down in early 2020 and Netflix subsequently scrapped the series.
Now actor and singer Kate Nash took to Twitter to share some behind the scenes images from the filming on that scuttled season and you can see some shots below.
