Every year, filmmaker Steven Soderbergh puts out a thoroughly detailed list of everything he watched or read in the year. In doing so he sometimes reveals previously announced projects he is working on.

It happened again recently with his latest list of 2022 viewing revealing three of his own works – the soon-to-release “Magic Mike’s Last Dance,” the already announced HBO Max mini-series “Full Circle”, and an unknown title called “The Pendulum Project”.

Soderbergh hasn’t gone into specifics over what that last one is, but The Playlist has uncovered some details. The project is a TV series and reportedly a satire with sci-fi aspects, though specifics of the plot are very much under wraps.

Their sources allege it was made in collaboration with American author, journalist and radio host Kurt Anderson along with Soderbergh’s longtime filmmaking friend Greg Mottola (“Confess, Fletch,” “Superbad”).

Shot primarily in New York, in and around Tribeca, the cast reportedly includes Michael Cera and comedian Roy Wood Jr. in every episode, along with Liev Schreiber in a supporting role. The independently financed project is expected to be shopped around to a streamer or cable network once it’s finished.

Soderbergh has “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” in cinemas next Friday, February 10th, whilst “Full Circle” is expected to debut sometime in the Spring. Thus we should hear more about this soon when Soderbergh starts doing press in regards to those projects.
