“Pen15” co-creator and star Maya Erskine will create, write and star in the new HBO limited series “The Perfect Nanny” with Nicole Kidman also onboard to star.
Based on Leila Slimani’s 2016 novel, the project is inspired by the real-life murder of Lucia and Leo Krim by their nanny in 2012.
In the series, a seemingly perfect nanny goes to work for a couple with two young children, but her helpful personality eventually deteriorates into something sinister.
Kidman and Erskine will both executive produce for Legendary Entertainment and HBO.
