Netflix fan favorite series “The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself” has been cancelled.
Series creator Joe Barton (“Giri/Haji,” “The Lazarus Project”) announced the axing on social media, with the end coming just over a month after the series premiered in late October to rave critical and audience reviews.
The series centered around sixteen-year-old Nathan Byrne (Jay Lycurgo), who’s finding it increasingly difficult to control his magical abilities in a world of two warring clans – Fairborn witches or Blood witches.
The son of a notorious witch responsible for a deadly massacre, he tries to find his place in the world. Jay Lycurgo, Nadia Parkes, Paul Ready, Isobel Jesper Jones, Karen Connell and Jeska Pike co-star.
