Filming has reportedly wrapped on Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two” with photos from the wrap party for the production going online across social media.
Shooting on the project kicked off in July in Budapest, Hungary with shooting shifting to Abu Dhabi last month. Filming also took place in Italy in early July.
Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgard, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Lea Seydoux and Christopher Walken all-star in the film, which adapts the second half of the famed Frank Herbert novel.
In the story Paul Atreides unites with Chani and the Fremen as he seeks revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.
“Dune: Part Two” is currently on track for a November 3rd 2023 release. Hans Zimmer is returning to handle the film’s score.
The wrap comes as production began recently on the prequel TV series “Dune: The Sisterhood”.
