The winners for this year’s Game Awards have been announced. It was expected to be a showdown between “God of War Ragnarök” and “Elden Ring” and proved just that with both winning multiple categories and dominating the playfield.
Ultimately though “Elden Ring” took the top honor of Game of the Year along with three other awards for best game direction, best art direction and best RPG.
“God of War Ragnarök” meanwhile came out on top of the award count with six honors including best narrative, best action/adventure game, best score, best audio, best performance, and best accessibility innovation.
Other notable winners include “Stray” for best indie game and best debut indie, whilst Nintendo dominated the smaller awards with “Splatoon 3, “Bayonetta 3” and “Kirby and the Forgotten Land” picking up honors. Netflix’s “Arcane: League of Legends” won for best adaptation.
