Final Trailer: “Avatar: The Way of Water”

Disney

Following its premiere during Monday Night Football, Disney has released the final trailer for James Cameron’s sci-fi epic “Avatar: The Way of Water”.

Set more than a decade after the events of the 2009 sci-fi box-office juggernaut, this first of four sequels begins to tell the story of the Sully family. A third film has already been shot, and two more are expected after that should this and the third perform well.

It deals with the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure as they leave their home and explore regions of Pandora when a threat resurfaces.

Sigourney Weaver returns, this time as Jake and Neytiri’s adopted teenage daughter Kiri. Stephen Lang is back as Colonel Miles Quaritch – here as a Na’vi Avatar embedded with the memories of the dead soldier.

Also starring are Kate Winslet, CCH Pounder, Cliff Curtis, Matt Gerald, Joel David Moore, Giovanni Ribisi, Edie Falco, Brendan Cowell, Jemaine Clement, Jack Champion, Dileep Rao, Filip Geijo and Duane Evans Jr.

“Avatar: The Way of Water” will be releasing worldwide in cinemas around December 16th.
