Taylor Sheridan’s “Lioness” Adds More Cast

Taylor Sheridan’s newest series, the spy drama “Lioness,” has added four new cast members.

Sam Asghari (“Black Monday”), Carla Mansour (“Reasonable Doubt”), and Adam Budron (“The Blacklist”) will all guest star while Martin Donovan (“Tenet”) has a recurring role.

They join previously announced cast members Zoe SaldaƱa, Laysla De Oliveira, Dave Annable, James Jordan, LaMonica Garrett, Austin HƩbert, Hannah Love Lanier, and Jonah Wharton.

The story is based on a real-life CIA program and follows Cruz Manuelos (De Oliveira), a rough-around-the-edges but passionate young Marine recruited to join the CIA’s Lioness Engagement Team to help bring down a terrorist organization from within.

SaldaƱa will play Joe, the station chief of the Lioness program tasked with training, managing and leading her female undercover operatives.

Asghari will play unapologetic womanizer Kamal, Budron plays Sami who is part of a coterie of wealthy friends, Mansour is Malika who is one of Kamal’s many ex’s, and Donovan will play financial wheeler-dealer Errol Meade.

Sheridan created the series, serves as executive producer and serves as showrunner. SaldaƱa, Nicole Kidman and John Hillcoat are among the show’s many executive producers.
