Apple Cancels Trump Biopic In Development

CNBC

Apple has reportedly halted development on a Donald Trump biopic based on Maggie Haberman’s novel “Confidence Man” according to The Ankler.

The book attempts to break down Trump’s recent U.S. Presidential reign through the lens of his past in Queens and his career in real estate development. The book has sold more than 100,000 copies in its first month.

No specific reason has been given as to why Apple has reportedly opted to kill the project, but Hollywood has become somewhat risk averse to films about controversial political figures. The news follows Trump announcing he officially plans on running for President again in 2024.
