Ian McShane will reprise his role of Continental Hotel manager Winston for Lionsgate’s upcoming “John Wick” spin-off “Ballerina” which began production yesterday.
The “Deadwood” alum is set to star opposite Ana de Armas in the project, which unfolds in the same cinematic universe as the Keanu Reeves-led films.
The story follows de Armas as a young woman with killer skills who uses them to get revenge when her family is killed by hitmen.
Len Wiseman directs from a script by Shay Hatten. Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee and Wick director Chad Stahelski are producing.
Winston is the biggest supporting character of this cinematic universe, and McShane is reprising the role in the upcoming “John Wick: Chapter 4” releasing March 23rd.
A TV series prequel focusing on a younger version of Winston is also in the works,
