“Free Guy” and “Night at the Museum” helmer Shawn Levy is in talks to develop a “Star Wars” film which he will direct. Plot details are under wraps and no writer is yet attached.
Levy will reportedly get to work on this once he wraps up his gig directing Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the upcoming third “Deadpool” movie at Marvel and Disney.
Levy is currently in post-production on the limited series “All the Light We Cannot See” for Netflix, and will direct at least two episodes of the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things” which he has executive produced from the beginning.
The project would join the Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy directed and Damon Lindelof penned “Star Wars” film announced not that long ago, along with the longer gestating ones from Taika Waititi and Patty Jenkins.
