Disney has premiered the full trailer for its upcoming TV series “The Santa Clauses” which continues the Tim Allen-led franchise.
Allen reprises his role as cynical toy salesman-turned-jolly ol’ gift-deliverer Scott Calvin. Jack Burditt (“Last Man Standing”) is serving as show-runner and an executive producer.
Serving as a sequel to the three films made from 1994 to 2006, the story begins as Christmas declines in popularity – impacting Santa’s magic. Scott is also struggling to keep up with the demands of the job, as well as being there for his family.
Upon discovering there is a way to retire from his post, Scott considers stepping down as Santa Claus and finding a worthy successor so that he can become a better father and husband.
“The Santa Clauses” will be available for streaming on November 16th with the first two episodes at launch.
