Fishburne Very Excited For “John Wick 4”

Lionsgate

In the space of three films, the “John Wick” franchise has delivered some of the most impressive modern film fight scenes. So, understandably, many are pumped to see the upcoming fourth entry.

That includes the actors themselves. Laurence Fishburne, out promoting the upcoming “The School for Good and Evil”, tells Variety that the writing for the new entry is the best of the series and the production left him quite impressed.

“Number four is gonna be… honestly, when I read it I was like, this is the best one, one the page… it just was. From the way that it opens, there are like three or four really incredible set pieces that are just like, woah. There are new characters, one, in particular, that’s so much fun. Well, actually three are crazy fun, and yeah, you know, I got to be in it again. I come back from the dead.”

The third film saw Fishburne’s The Bowery King character seemingly killed by The Adjudicator until he re-appears and rescues a critically injured John Wick.

Chad Stahelski is returning to direct the film, which sees Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and Fishburne returning and joined by the likes of Clancy Brown, Bill Skarsgard, Hiroyuki Sanada, Donnie Yen and Scott Adkins.

“John Wick: Chapter 4” opens in cinemas March 24th 2023.
