A few weeks back, The Ankler’s Jeff Sneider appeared on The Hot Mic Podcast and revealed Harrison Ford was Marvel Studios’ top choice to star as General Thaddeus Ross in the upcoming “Thunderbolts” film.
At the time, he said Ford was NOT currently cast in the film, and it was unclear if he had already passed on the role which the late great William Hurt played in “The Incredible Hulk” and “Captain America: Civil War” among other films.
Cut to today and the same reporter and outlet indicate that Ford has indeed signed on to join the MCU in the role and will make his debut first in “Captain America: New World Order” and could potentially have a role in “Thunderbolts” after that. Slashfilm has subsequently claimed to have confirmed the casting.
“Captain America: New World Order” arrives on May 3rd 2024 whilst “Thunderbolts” is scheduled to release in theaters on July 26th 2024.
