Fleischer To Helm “Now You See Me 3”

Lionsgate

“Uncharted” and “Venom” director Ruben Fleischer has been set to helm the third installment in the thieving illusionist team heist franchise “Now You See Me” from Lionsgate.

The first two films starred the likes of Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman, Mark Ruffalo, Lizzy Caplan, Michael Caine and Daniel Radcliffe and followed a group of magicians known as the Four Horseman who pull off elaborate heists.

The two movies, the Louis Leterrier-directed 2013 original and the Jon M. Chu-directed 2016 sequel, made $686.5 million at the global box-office combined.

Seth Grahame-Smith (“Pride and Prejudice and Zombies”) is reportedly penning a new draft of the script which Eric Warren Singer (“Top Gun: Maverick”) previously worked on.

Fleischer confirms Eisenberg and Harrelson will be back for the new round, and it’s not clear presently what other cast members will return.
