Burton’s “Wednesday” Sets November Launch

Netflix has set a Thanksgiving week premiere for Tim Burton and “Smallville” creators Al Gough and Miles Millar’s new live-action “Addams Family” series “Wednesday”.

Set to release in full on the platform from Wednesday, November 23rd, the show’s key art has also been released and can be seen below. Burton directs the series for MGM Television.

The story begins with a number of murders plaguing the small town where Wednesday Addams has been sent to Nevermore Academy, a prestigious boarding school for outcasts.

The eight-episode series stars Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Luis Guzman as Gomez Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Issac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, Gwendoline Christie as Headmistress Larissa Weems, George Burcea as Lurch, Victor Dorobantu as Thing and the likes of Thora Birch, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Hunter Doohan, Percy Hynes White and Christina Ricci.
