In the wake of the abrupt cancellation of the $90 million-budget “Batgirl” film in August, several of the film’s stars like Brendan Fraser and Michael Keaton have voiced their upset about people not being able to see the film.
To date all we’ve really seen are one official publicity still, one proper behind-the-scenes shot, and various social media postings from cast and crew showing off some behind-the-scenes stuff.
Over the weekend, we got one more of that last category of material as actress Ivory Aquino offered a look at one of the film’s stunts in action as it appears to show Leslie Grace’s stunt double, Emely Cartagena, crashing a holiday party via a large Christmas tree.
Aquino released a letter a few weeks ago that she had penned to Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav begging them to reconsider pulling the film and allow it to be seen. In the film, she plays Alysia Yeoh, a bartender and young chef who is best friend to Grace’s Barbara Gordon/Batgirl.
The “Batgirl” film also starred J.K. Simmons, Jacob Scipio, Rebecca Front, Corey Johnson, and Ethan Kai.
