Sony Delays “Kraven,” “Garfield,” “Web”

Along with its surprise “Karate Kid” announcement, Sony Pictures has announced a number of high-profile film delays today.

First up the next two films set in the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters (SPUMC) have seen multi-month delays. The Aaron Taylor-Johnson-led “Kraven the Hunter” has been pushed back nine months from January 13th 2023 to October 6th 2023.

As a result of that push, the Dakota Johnson-led “Madame Web” film has been delayed a few months, booted from October 6th 2023 to February 16th 2024.

With that shift, the Chris Pratt-led “Garfield” movie has moved back three months from February 16th 2024 to May 24th 2024 for a Memorial Day weekend opening.

Also setting new dates are the Adam Driver-led sci-fi thriller “65” which has been moved up nearly two months to March 10th 2023, while the “Searching” sequel has set the title “Missing” and will open on February 24th 2023.
