Ahead of its premiere on Disney+ Day on September 8th, Disney has decided to release both the first clip and the opening title sequence from its original series “Cars on the Road” based on the Pixar “Cars” franchise.
The nine-episode series will follow Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) and his best friend Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) on a cross-country road trip east of Radiator Springs that they take in order to attend Mater’s sister’s wedding.
Steve Purcell (“Brace”) pens all nine episodes of the series and helms three of them, with Bobby Podesta and Brian Fee handling another three each.
