Once again comes a monthly quick go-to list of what’s coming to cinemas, networks, VOD & SVOD services, and gaming platforms over the coming weeks.
This isn’t a complete list, rather it’s one showcasing the major and some minor titles of note. The titles are separated by date and ordered with films & film rentals first, then TV, then games.
Amongst the film highlights there’s Olivia Wilde’s psychological thriller “Don’t Worry Darling,” the long-awaited “Hocus Pocus” sequel, Ana de Armas as Marilyn Monroe in “Blonde,” Saoirse Ronan has a fun murder mystery in “See How They Run”, the first gay rom-com from a major studio with “Bros,” Robert Zemeckis helms the live-action take on Disney’s “Pinocchio,” Viola Davis is the warrior leader of an African Kingdom in “The Woman King,” Kevin Smith returns with a third “Clerks,” and Zac Efron sets out to deliver beer to his mates fighting in Vietnam in “The Greatest Beer Run Ever”.
On TV, nothing is bigger than the premiere of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” but it’s far from the only big series. “Star Wars” goes darker and more adult with “Andor,” the “Quantum Leap” revival makes its first leap, “The Good Fight” and “Atlanta” bid farewell with their final seasons, “Rick and Morty” is back for a sixth season, “Cobrai Kai” and “The Handmaid’s Tale” are back for fifth seasons, Jon Bernthal (“American Gigolo”) and Matthew Fox (“Last Light”) return to TV, “Vampire Academy” and “Cyberpunk 2077” get new series incarnations, and many major network procedurals all make their return.
Amongst the game highlights, there’s much excitement about “Return to Monkey Island,” rave reviews are already flooding in for the ground-up remake “The Last of Us Part I,” the Nintendo Switch delivers the third title in the “Splatoon” series, an interesting looking alpine war simulation is on offer in “Isonzo,” and there are this year’s entries in the FIFA & NBA franchises.
