Mafia
Hangar 13 has confirmed that an all-new title in the “Mafia” open-world crime gaming franchise is in development, however, the title is “a few years away”. Earlier this year, the rumour was the game will be a prequel. The last entry in the series, “Mafia 3,” was released to mixed reviews in 2016. [Source: VGC]
PlayStation
PlayStation has set a deal to purchase Savage Game Studios, which will join the company’s newly created PlayStation Studios Mobile Division which aims to expand into the mobile gaming market. Savage’s goal is to create “amazing, single-player narrative-driven experiences” in the mobile space. [Source: CBR]
Sugar
James Cromwell, Anna Gunn, Dennis Boutsikaris, Alex Hernandez and Lindsay Pulsipher are set to join Colin Farrell, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Amy Ryan in the forthcoming Apple Studios series “Sugar”.
The genre-bending series is dubbed a present-day take on a private eye story. Mark Protosevich created, and executive produces with director Fernando Meirelles. [Source: Apple]
Queen Sugar
OWN has released the official trailer for the seventh and final season of the critically acclaimed drama “Queen Sugar” created by Ava DuVernay and executive produced by Oprah Winfrey.
The series returns for its final outing on September 6th, while all previous seasons are available on Hulu.
Black Adam
A new poster is out for the Dwayne Johnson-led “Black Adam” film, this one offering a detailed look at Pierce Brosnan in full costume as Doctor Fate. Johnson himself shared the image on social media of the sorcerer and key member of the JSA. “Black Adam” opens in cinemas on October 21st.
