Some notable actors are signing up for new seasons of some big hits currently on streamers and premium cable.
“Schitt’s Creek” Emmy winner Dan Levy has scored a recurring role in the fourth season of Netflix’s dramedy “Sex Education”. He joins returnees Asa Butterfield (Otis), Gillian Anderson (Jean), Ncuti Gatwa (Eric), Aimee-Lou Wood (Aimee), Emma Mackey (Maeve) and Connor Swindells (Adam) among others.
Levy’s former co-star Annie Murphy is also booking in a project, she and Salma Hayek Pinault are in talks to star in the sixth season of the Netflix dystopian anthology series “Black Mirror”. They join Rory Culkin, Zazie Beetz, Paapa Essiedu, Josh Hartnett, Aaron Paul, Kate Mara, Danny Ramirez, Clara Rugaard, Auden Thornton and Anjana Vasan in the new run.
Next up, John Corbett’s Aidan Shaw character will reunite with former fiance Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) on HBO Max’s “Sex and the City” sequel series “And Just Like That”. Corbett is reportedly set for a substantial, multi-episode arc on the second season of the show.
Finally, Elijah Wood is returning to television with a season-long guest starring role in the second season of Showtime’s hit “Yellowjackets”. His character is Walter, a dedicated Citizen Detective who will challenge Misty (Christina Ricci) in ways she won’t see coming. Simone Kessell and Lauren Ambrose are also joining the new season.
