The Disney+ “Star Wars” series “The Book of Boba Fett” launched in December with the consensus being fairly mixed on the series, especially anything outside its fifth and sixth episodes which heavily tied back to “The Mandalorian”.
One thing generally appreciated though was the actors involved, including actress Ming-Na Wen who plays Boba’s right-hand woman Fennec Shand.
Recently appearing at Fan Expo in Boston, the former “Agents of SHIELD” and original “Mulan” star was asked whether or not she believes a second season is on the way. Whilst she didn’t confirm one is, she seems hopeful:
“Second season of The Book of Boba Fett, I hope! I never count my chickens before they hatch, because in this business, you just never know. But, knock on wood, they’ll be announcing that soon.”
The larger question is, outside of a renewal, if the actress will reprise the role elsewhere as she has done for both “The Mandalorian” and the animated “The Bad Batch”. So far no word on that though with a third season of “Mandalorian” and the “Ahsoka” series on the way, it wouldn’t be out of the question.
Ming-Na recently voiced the character of Fong Wing in the “Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai” animated series and lent to her voice to the now scrapped “Scoob!: Holiday Haunt” project.
