Amazon Prime Video has announced the hour that each episode of the first season of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” will arrive on the streaming service.
The first two episodes will be available from Thursday, September 1st at 9pm ET in the United States. That means it will also simultaneously debut on Friday, September 2nd at 2am GMT in the UK and at 11am EST in Australia.
After the premiere, new episodes will be available every Friday at 12am US-ET, 5am UK-GMT and 2pm AU-EST. The eight-episode first season is expected to conclude on October 14th.
Set in the Second Age of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-Earth, the series will explore the past of iconic characters and explain how Sauron rose to power in the centuries before the events of “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings”.
