20th Century Studios is developing a reboot of the classic 1988 comedy “Working Girl” and has “Only Murders in the Building” star Selena Gomez in final negotiations to produce the feature.
Melanie Griffith starred in the original as an ambitious secretary who takes on her boss’ identity while the latter (Sigourney Weaver) is laid up with a broken leg.
Harrison Ford and Joan Cusack co-starred in the movie which was critically acclaimed, pulled in over $100 million domestically, and earned six Oscar nominations including Best Picture.
Ilana Pena (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”) is adapting the script for the new film which will likely premiere on Hulu.
