Both the Harry Styles-led period gay romance film “My Policeman,” and the Steven Spielberg semi-autobiographical film “The Fablemans” are set to have their world premieres at the Toronto Film Festival running September 8th-18th. Billy Magnussen (“No Time to Die”) is set to star in Netflix’s reboot of the “Spy Kids” franchise alongside Gina Rodriguez, Zachary Levi, Everly Carganilla, and Connor Esterson. Robert Rodriguez will write, direct and produce.

Penelope
Disney Pictures is reportedly developing “Penelope,” a new musical comedy theatrical release loosely based on the classic fairy tale “The Princess and the Pea”.

Robert Sudduth will pen the script while Will Gluck is producing. Original music will be written by Ingrid Michaelson and Broadway superstar Larry O’Keefe. [Source: Deadline]

Spike Jonze is reportedly “quietly working on a lavish series at Netflix that hasn’t been announced yet, but which has a writers room and a broad, expensive canvas” according to Puck News. The project would mark Jonze’s first fiction work since 2013 film “Her”. [Source: Puck News]

The fourth and final season of FX’s “Atlanta” has set a September launch month, with episodes streaming on Hulu the following day.
