Eddie Murphy is set to star in and produce the holiday comedy “Candy Cane Lane” for Amazon Studios, Imagine Entertainment and Eddie Murphy Productions.
Kelly Younger penned the script inspired by childhood holiday experiences, while Reginald Hudlin will direct – reuniting him with his “Boomerang” star Murphy.
Plot details are under wraps, and filming will begin this winter in Los Angeles. Brian Grazer, Karen Lunder, and Charisse Hewitt-Webster will also produce.
The project is the first film in Murphy’s first-look deal with Amazon Studios following the success of “Coming 2 America” last year.
