Sony Pictures has pushed its “Spider-Man” spinoff feature “Madame Web” by several months, slotting it in an October 6th 2023 release slot.
The shift sees the Dakota Johnson-led film take over a slot from an ‘untitled Marvel film’ which has now been pushed back to June 7th 2024.
Also as a result of the shift, the Patrick Wilson-directed fifth “Insidious” film will take over Web’s old July 7th 2023 release slot.
Sony made a few other quick moves – pushing up its George Forman biopic by a week to March 31st 2023, and scheduling its supernatural tale “The Pope’s Exorcist” to April 7th 2023.
In addition, the Tom Hanks-led “A Man Called Otto” is now slated for December 14th 2022 rather than Christmas.
