Yu Yu Hakusho
Takumi Kitamura (“Tokyo Revengers”) will star as Yusuke Urameshi and Jun Shison will play Kurama in Netflix’s live-action “Yu Yu Hakusho” series based on the 1990 manga.
The story follows teen delinquent Yasuke who dies while committing an act of goodness. Heaven and Hell have no place for him, so in an effort to reunite his soul with his body he becomes an underworld detective. [Source: Twitter]
Sailing
Woody Harrelson is in talks to star in the jukebox musical comedy “Sailing” for Lionsgate. Jeremy Plager and “Rock of Ages” musical creator Chris D’Arienzo are being the pitch.
The title will follow the trials and tribulations of a group of 1970s musicians discovering the smooth sounds and lifestyle of yacht rock – the soft rock music genre which dominated FM radio at the time. [Source: THR]

Idina Menzel, Sarah Sherman, Luis Guzman, Ido Mosseri and Samantha Lorraine are amongst those who will join Adam Sandler in Netflix’s “You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah” based on Fiona Rosenbloom’s young adult novel.
Filming has commenced on the project which follows a girl who has to prevent her Bat Mitzvah plans from unravelling and threatening to ruin one of the most important moments of her life. Sammi Cohen directs from a script by Alison Peck. [Source: Collider]
Black Lotus
Frank Grillo has joined Todor Chapkanov’s action-thriller “Black Lotus” starring eleven-time world kickboxing champion Rico Verhoeven. Filming is underway in the Netherlands.
Verhoeven plays a special forces officer who ends up in a one-man war in the streets and on the canals of the city as he sets out to rescue the kidnapped daughter of his dead friend. Marie Dompnier, Peter Franzen and Simon Wan co-star. [Source: Deadline]
