Netflix Sets Microsoft As Avod Partner

Netflix has selected Microsoft as its global advertising technology and sales partner to help launch the streamer’s new advertising-supported subscription plan.

The AVOD service was first revealed in April during Netflix’s earnings call to investors about the first quarter of the calendar year. The earnings call for the second quarter takes place next Tuesday with more details expected to be revealed then.

Disney also plans to introduce a cheaper, ad-supported version of Disney+ over the coming months, joining the likes of HBO Max, Hulu and Peacock which already have them.

Netflix has also recently ramped up its efforts in the video game realm, a space Microsoft is known for with the Xbox.
