Tatum, Berlanti Team For “Project Artemis”

Channing Tatum Talks Failed Gambit
MGM

Channing Tatum is in negotiations to star and Greg Berlanti (“Love, Simon,” “The Broken Hearts Club”) has signed on to direct the big-budget “Project Artemis” for Apple Studios. Tatum will join Scarlett Johansson in the feature.

Jason Bateman was originally slated to direct the feature but left in early June due to creative differences. A scheduling shift forced original star Chris Evans to bow out due to scheduling conflicts.

Rose Gilroy wrote the script for what’s dubbed a romantic comedy set against the backdrop of the 1968 Apollo 11 moon launch. Further specifics are under wraps.

Johansson, Jonathan Lia and Keenan Flynn will produce. This will mark Berlanti’s fourth directorial effort, he’s otherwise known as one of TV’s biggest producers of content – pumping out series from “The Flash” and “Doom Patrol” to “The Flight Attendant” and “Riverdale”.
