A trailer is out for Kirsten Carthew’s frozen post-apocalyptic coming-of-age tale “Polaris”.

Set in 2144 against the harsh backdrop of a frozen wasteland, Sumi, a human child raised by Mama Polar Bear narrowly escapes capture from a brutal Morad hunting party and sets out across the vast winter landscape.

When Sumi stumbles across Frozen Girl, an unlikely friendship is forged, and together they race ahead of the vindictive hunters towards the only guiding light Sumi knows, the Polaris star.

The film is shot with a newly created language that will neither be dubbed or subtitled. “Polaris” serves as the opening night title of the Fantasia International Film Festival.

IFC Films has released a trailer for the comedy “Spin Me Round” starring Alison Brie, Aubrey Plaza, Alessandro Nivola, Molly Shannon, Lil Rey Howery, Fred Armisen, Tim Heidecker and Tricia Helfer.

Brie plays Amber, a restaurant manager who gets chosen for an immersion program in Italy. There, she meets the restaurant chain’s CEO Nick Martucci (Nivola), who immediately sweeps Amber off her feet.

However, as their adventure in Italy continues, the chosen participants will soon realize that there is more to the program than meets the eye. The Jeff Baena-directed film is scheduled to make its debut on August 19th in theaters and on VOD.

A24 has revealed the new trailer for horror comedy “Bodies Bodies Bodies” starring Amandla Stenberg, Maria Bakalova, Lee Pace and Pete Davidson. The film hits select theaters on August 5th followed by a wide release on August 12th.

When a group of rich twentysomethings plan a hurricane party at a remote family mansion, a murder mystery party game goes awry when one of them gets actually stabbed by a secret killer. Halina Reijn helms from a script by Sarah DeLappe.

Bleecker Street has premiered the official trailer for its coming-of-age drama “Summering” which follows four friends who struggle with the harsh truths of growing up and embark on a mysterious adventure.

Megan Mullally, Lake Bell, Madalen Mills and Ashley Madekwe star in the flm which premiered at Sundance and arrives in theaters on August 12th. James Ponsoldt helms from a script co-written with Benjamin Percy.
