“Time Traveler’s Wife,” “Why Women Kill” Axed

Time Travelers Wife Why Women Kill Axed
HBO Max

HBO has cancelled its series adaptation of Audrey Niffenegger’s novel “The Time Traveler’s Wife” after one season. The show, which aired from May 15th-June 19th, scored poor reviews from critics.

The six-part series, which hails from former “Doctor Who” showrunner Steven Moffat, told the tale of Clare (Rose Leslie) and Henry (Theo James) and a marriage with a problem: time travel.

That’s not the only axing today. Paramount+ has cancelled its anthology series “Why Women Kill” after two seasons. The cancellation comes despite the series having been renewed for a third season in December last year.

In a statement by the streamer, a spokesperson says: “Paramount+ has made the difficult decision not to move forward with Season 3 of ‘Why Women Kill’.”

Launched in 2019 and hailing from “Desperate Housewives” creator Marc Cherry, each season boasted entirely different casts and storylines with the likes of Lucy Liu, Ginnifer Goodwin, Alexandra Daddario, Allison Tolman and Nick Frost starring.
