The CW has cancelled its “Nancy Drew” spin-off series “Tom Swift” after one season – less than a month after the series premiered.

Tian Richards starred in the show as the titular Swift, a Black, gay billionaire thrust into conflict with a mysterious global cabal following the sudden disappearance of his father.

The show reportedly failed to find an audience via linear TV or streaming. It will keep airing through to its finale on July 19th. The axing also comes a little over a month after The CW cancelled much of its line-up.

Meanwhile, over at FOX, the Amy Poehler executive-produced animated comedy “Duncanville” will end its run after three seasons. Six additional episodes remain and will be posted at a later date on Hulu.

Poehler starred in the series as an ordinary 15-year-old with a wild imagination and his sights set on the freedom of adulthood. The new season has averaged just 530,000 total viewers.
