In the wake of the premiere of Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Love and Thunder,” it has been confirmed several actors that had been linked to the project did not appear.

Filmmaker Taika Waititi has himself admitted that he finds his movies “in post” and as a result, some roles that may have been significant early on are either sidelined or cut out completely.

One name that has come up out of the blue is “Game of Thrones” actress Lena Headey who according to Variety is being sued by her former UK agency Troika for alleged unpaid commission fees for three projects including the new “Thor”.

In part of Headey’s official response, she reportedly says the role came about after Waititi approached her directly. The trade outlet confirms Headey does not appear in the final cut of the movie.

She’s not the only one who doesn’t appear. Actor Christian Bale, who plays the film’s villain Gorr, confirmed to Prensa Escenario (via Total Film) that both Peter Dinklage and Jeff Goldblum filmed scenes for the film but did not make the final cut.

“I got to work with Peter Dinklage, that’s not in the final film, but he’s fantastic. I got to work with Jeff Goldblum, he’s not in the final film either. As you see, a lot of stuff ends up on the cutting room floor even though it is beautiful brilliant stuff.”

“Thor: Love and Thunder” opens in cinemas on July 8th.
