Scott Mescal Foy Bell Are Strangers
BBC, Hulu, Amazon

Andrew Scott (“Fleabag”), Paul Mescal (“Normal People”), Claire Foy (“A Very British Scandal”) and Jamie Bell (“Rocketman”) will all star in acclaimed “Weekend” and “45 Days” director Andrew Haigh’s new mystery drama feature “Strangers” for Searchlight, Film4 and Blueprint Pictures.

A loose adaptation of Taichi Yamada’s award-winning novel, Scott plays a screen writer who, one night in his near-empty tower block in contemporary London, has a chance encounter with his mysterious neighbor Harry (Mescal) that punctures the rhythm of his everyday life.

As Adam and Harry get closer, Adam is pulled back to his childhood home where he discovers that his long-dead parents (Foy and Bell) are both living and look the same age as the day they died over thirty years ago.

Haigh is penning the script while Graham Broadbent, Sarah Harvey and Pete Czernin are producing. Haigh is coming off the BBC and AMC period Arctic survival thriller mini-series “The North Water” which starred Colin Farrell and Jack O’Connell.
