Is It Cake
Netflix has renewed its Mikey Day-hosted cooking competition series “Is It Cake?” for a second season. The eight-episode first season spent four weeks in Netflix’s top 10 English TV list.

The series sees bakers work to create hyper-realistic cakes that look exactly like everyday objects. The cakes are then presented before a panel of judges along with an array of actual objects to see if the judges can tell which one is cake. If the bakers successfully fool the judges, they win a cash prize. [Source: TV Line]

Catching Dust
Erin Moriarty (“The Boys”), Jai Courtney (“Suicide Squad”), Dina Shihabi (“Archive 81”) and Ryan Corr (“Wolf Creek 2”) have signed on to star in Stuart Gatt’s Texas noir “Catching Dust” which begins production in the Canary Islands this month.

Moriarty plays a woman hising out with her criminal husband (Courtney) in a lone trailer on an abandoned commune. When another trailer arrives with a couple from New York, dangerous consequences ensue for all. [Source: Deadline]

Lightyear
Disney and Pixar have released a new featurette for their “Toy Story”-inspired “Lightyear” starring Chris Evans as the voice of Buzz Lightyear. The film is set to debut in theaters on June 17th.

In the clip Evans, director Angus MacLane and some of the cast discuss the legacy of “Toy Story” along with showing off some video of the character recording sessions. The film opens June 17th.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
A June 8th date has been confirmed as the gameplay reveal for the upcoming “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2”. The date, the day before Summer Game Fest Live, has been announced in a new teaser showing off live-action versions of some of the characters in the title. It’s expected it will also be the first “Call of Duty” title since 2017 to be released on Steam.

F1 2022
EA and Codemasters have premiered a trailer for this year’s “F1 2022” game franchise entry which is set to launch on July 1st on PC and console. The new title offers improved handling for vehicles, more immersive in-game action, an improved broadcast and AI system, and the F1 Life social hub.
