HBO’s Emmy-winning comedy series “A Black Lady Sketch Show” has been renewed for a fourth season. The order comes just weeks after Robin Thede’s six-episode third season finished its run on the premium cabler. Gabrielle Dennis, Ashley Nicole Black and Skye Townsend co-star. [Source: Variety]

Poker Face
Danielle Macdonald (“Patti Cake$,” “Bird Box,” “Lady Bird”) has been cast in “Knives Out” helmer Rian Johnson’s ten-episode mystery procedural series “Poker Face” at Peacock.

Natasha Lyonne stars as a character working to solve different murders in each episode. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Benjamin Bratt, Stephanie Hsu, and David Castaneda co-star. [Source: Variety]

Plan B
Patrick J. Adams (“Suits”) and Karine Vanasse (“Cardinal”) have been cast as the leads in an English-language adaptation of time travel psychological drama “Plan B” at CBC.

Set in Montreal, the story follows a man on a desperate and relentless quest to save his relationship – and by extension, his whole world. He soon realises that even the smallest choice has repercussions on his life and the lives of others. [Source: Deadline]

Deviant’s War
Amazon Studios and Plan B Entertainment are reportedly developing a limited series based on historian Eric Cervini’s Pulitzer Prize-finalist best-selling novel “The Deviant’s War”. Tony-winning playwright Matthew Lopez will adapt the script.

The story follows Frank Kameny, a 1950s Department of Defense astronomer sued the U.S. federal government after being fired because he was gay. The book also chronicles gay activism’s ties to the Black Freedom Movement. [Source: Variety]

Rutherford Falls
Peacock has released the official trailer for the second season of the Ed Helms, Jana Schmieding, Jesse Leigh and Dustin Milligan-led comedy series “Rutherford Falls” returning on June 16th.

in the new run, Nathan and Reagan help each other tackle work, romance, and major changes to their small town and the Native American reservation it borders, initiated by Tribal Casino C.E.O. Terry Thomas (Michael Greyeyes).

The Bear
FX has premiered the trailer for its Chicago-set original series “The Bear”. “Shameless” alum Jeremy Allen White along with Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, and Liza Colon-Zayas co-star.

White plays a young chef who returns to the city after a sibling’s suicide and has to take over the family sandwich shop – a place far away from what he’s used to. The series premieres June 23rd.
