Jude Law has been announced as the star of “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew,” the new “Star Wars” series executive produced by “Spider-Man: No Way Home” director Jon Watts.
Watts was on hand at the Star Wars Celebration expo this morning to reveal the show’s official title and Law’s casting. He says the series “stars four kids but is not a kids show” and has previously been compared to 1980s Amblin Entertainment coming of age features in tone.
The series takes place in the same time period as “The Mandalorian” but story details are under wraps. Watts and writer Chris Ford executive produce the series which will have its debut on the Disney+ service in 2023.
