Frank Grillo is keeping busy. The “Boss Level,” “The Grey” and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” star is set to team with “The Machinist” director Brad Anderson for the thriller “The Dagon” which will start production in the Pacific Northwest in the Fall.

Grillo plays a father who lives an isolated rural life. When his eldest daughter comes of age, the family must confront the Dagon – the terrifying, deadly creatures that surround them every night. Peter Mattei (“Outsiders”) penned the script.

The actor has also joined the cast of Kieron Hawkes’ new film “Branded” alongside Alex Pettyfer, Maria Bakalova and Tom Hopper. The film is based on a New Yorker article by David Grann and adapted by Alessandro Camon.

Pettyfer plays as football player incarcerated for murdering a drug dealer who joins a white gang in San Quentin. Grillo will play the gang’s leader Carter, who sees Taylor as his future replacement.

When the authorities try to disband the gang by dispersing its members throughout the prison system, Taylor soon finds himself at the helm of a veritable criminal empire. Filming begins this Fall.
