The first trailer is out for “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story,” the biopic starring Daniel Radcliffe as the five-time Grammy winner.
Yankovic is the biggest-selling comedy recording artist of all time, famed for his parodies of musical contemporaries. The biopic plans to explore every facet of his life from his childhood through his meteoric rise to fame, along with his “torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle”.
Yankovic and Eric Appel penned the feature with Appel directing. Yankovic, Mike Farah, Joe Farrell, Tim Headington, Lia Buman, Max Silva and Whitney Hodack are producing.
The film premieres on The Roku Channel this Fall.
