The Freak Brothers
Tubi has handed out a green light to another eight-episode season of its animated original “The Freak Brothers,” marking its first-ever series renewal. The new episodes will premiere in December.

Woody Harrelson, John Goodman, Pete Davidson, Tiffany Haddish, Adam Devine, Blake Anderson, Andrea Savage, La La Anthony and Rapper ScHoolboy Q voice the series. [Source: The Wrap]

A Man in Full
Jeff Daniels is set to play the lead in the Netflix drama series “A Man in Full” based on the Tom Wolfe novel which hails from David E. Kelley and Regina King.

Daniels plays polarizing and irresponsible Atlanta real estate mogul Charlie Croker who faces sudden bankruptcy and must defend his empire from those attempting to capitalize on his fall from grace. [Source: Variety]

The Helicopter Heist
Swedish production company B-Reel Films (“Midsommar”) is set to produce an eight-episode character-driven thriller series based on Jonas Bonnier’s true crime novel “The Helicopter Heist”.

Ronnie Sandahl (“Borg vs McEnroe”) created and pens the series about four young Swedes who orchestrated a spectacular daylight heist in 2009 – using a stolen Bell helicopter to land on the roof of a G4S cash service depot building in Stockholm – taking more than $4 million in cash. Paramount+
While Netflix has been shedding subscribers, Paramount Global has been adding them – chalking up another 6.3 million new global streaming subscribers this quarter to top 62 million as of the end of March.

The Paramount+ streamer on its own (excluding Showtime and other OTTs) also grew to nearly 40 million subscribers from 32.8 million as of the end of December. In addition, a June 22nd date has been set for the service’s launch in the UK and Ireland. [Source: THR]
