Lionsgate has set a multi-year movie output deal with Universal’s SVOD service Peacock that will see all Lionsgate’s theatrical release films come to the streamer starting with this year’s slate.
The agreement brings movies exclusively to Peacock and NBCUniversal networks for the ‘Pay 2’ window starting in 2024 including movies like “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent,” “John Wick: Chapter 4,” “Expend4bles,” “Borderlands,” “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret,” and the “Hunger Games” prequel “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes”.
The news follows on the heels of Lionsgate recently unveiling a film output deal with The Roku Channel which offers that platform the exclusive rights to Lionsgate’s film slate immediately after the first pay theatrical window on Starz.
Peacock has also just made a deal that sees premium users, starting today, able to stream Bravo titles like “Below Deck” and “Top Chef” the day after their air on the linear channel.
