BBC America and AMC Networks are developing a spin-off of its dark spy comedy series “Killing Eve”.
The project is still in the early stages and hasn’t scored a title or green light as yet, nor is it clear if this will be a network show or opt for a streaming exclusive launch.
What is known is that it will serve as something of a prequel, exploring the early life of Fiona Shaw’s MI6 spymaster character Carolyn Mertens and probably exploring her time as a young spook in the former Soviet Union.
The news comes ahead of the finale of the fourth and final season of “Killing Eve” airing this coming Sunday.
