Peacock is reportedly developing “The Islands,” a Hawaiian-set 1960s crime saga series that hails from Oscar nominee Steven Yeun, “Fast and the Furious” franchise director Justin Lin, and “Eternals” scribes Kaz and Ryan Firpo.
Inspired by true events, the serialized crime drama is described as a story about “American Imperialism, the fall of a kingdom, and the changing of a way of life”.
Universal Television, Lin’s Perfect Storm Entertainment and Yeun’s Universal Remote will all produce the project with the Firpo’s to write. All four will executive produce along with Andrew Schneider.
