“GLOW” and “The Hunt” star Betty Gilpin has landed the lead role in “The Leftovers” and “Watchmen” showrunner Damon Lindelof’s new Peacock drama series “Mrs. Davis”.
An exploration of faith vs. technology, the story is under wraps but it is known that Gilpin will play a nun who goes to battle against an all-powerful artificial intelligence.
Tara Hernandez co-writes and serves as showrunner along with executive producing alongside Lindelof and Owen Harris. Harris directs multiple episodes including the premiere.
Warner Bros. Television produces the series. Gilpin will soon be seen in Starz’s Watergate scandal drama “Gaslit” along with “Roar” at Apple TV+.
