HBO Max has premiered the first trailer for “DMZ,” the upcoming limited series adaptation of the DC Comics mini-series.
Filmmaker Ava DuVernay and “Westworld” executive producer Robert Patino team on this story set in a near future where a bitter civil war has turned Manhattan a demilitarized zone, destroyed and isolated from the rest of the world.
The action chronicles the harrowing journey of fearless medic Alma Ortega (Rosario Dawson), who sets out on a harrowing journey – dealing with gangs, militias, demagogues, and warlords – to find the son she lost in the evacuation of the city when the conflict began.
Benjamin Bratt, Hoon Lee, Jordan Preston Carter, and Freddy Miyares co-star in the series which debuts Thursday, March 17th with all four episodes released at once.
