Netflix has pulled its service from Russia, citing the invasion of Ukraine. The streamer launched in Russia less than a year ago and has less than one million subscribers in the country.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the streaming giant found operating in Russia “too challenging given the increase in sanctions and growing payment challenges”.
This follows suspensions and exits by other tech and entertainment companies in recent weeks. In addition, the Netflix original detective drama series “Zato” has halted production.
