The SAG Awards held an in-person ceremony at the Santa Monica Airport this weekend with Apple TV+ film “CODA” and Netflix’s “Squid Game” proving big winners.
On the film front, “CODA” took the top award of ensemble cast for a motion picture.
Will Smith (“King Richard”) and Jessica Chastain (“The Eyes of Tammy Faye”) snagged main acting honors, with Ariana DeBose (“West Side Story”) and Troy Kutsor (“CODA”) scoring supporting acting honors.
On the TV front, “Succession” won the top award of ensemble cast for a drama series, but the surprise was “Squid Game” stars Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-Yeon took best actor and actress in the drama category.
In comedy, “Ted Lasso” dominated with a win for ensemble cast and best actor for Jason Sudekis, while Jean Smart won best actress for “Hacks”. On the limited series front, Michael Keaton won the best actor for “Dopesick” while Kate Winslet won best actress for “Mare of Easttown”.
“No Time to Die” and “Squid Game” took the stunt awards for film and television respectively.
